Contemporary Grey Sunflex Slimline sliding doors in Lincolnshire
The design and quality of the Sunflex patio door product is unmatched. Latest generation aluminium profiles, superior engineering and clever design features.
This installation in Normanby Le Wold, comprises a three-panel, triple track set of Sunflex sliders. These come polyester powder coated in a dark grey powder coated finish and accentuated with contrasting satin stainless steel door handles.
First of all are the aluminium profiles, with a contemporary styling, insulated with a deep thermal break. The matt grey colour finish is durable and low-maintenance and only needs routine cleaning with a mild soapy solution. Second is the high specification safety glass throughout. 28mm double glazed units are toughened safety glass, having a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill. As a result the thermal performance of these doors are excellent.
The doors come designed to maximise the newly built opening thanks to the three-panel configuration working with the triple track. When the doors fully open they stack to the one side giving a near 66% clear opening. Even better with a multi-track design is flexibility. Either the left or right hand slider can move first. Therefore the available clear opening can be on the left or the right.
Clever design features of Sunflex sliding doors
The significant feature of Sunflex doors over other similar products is the flush stacking arrangement. Open the doors fully and each panel stacks neatly together, flush. Other doors come with a staggered arrangement with one leaf in front of the other in sequence. A small detail perhaps, but another feature making more of the opening and giving neater looking doors fully open.
The threshold/track arrangement on these doors is also expertly designed for a neater look and collects significantly less dirt than other door designs where clearances on sliding door tracks are essential.
The other spectacular feature is the minimal 20mm mullion. Sunflex sliding doors give you the same desirable sightline of more complex structurally bonded doors but with better opening solutions. Crucially, structurally bonded door profiles project significantly into the room sometimes as much as 180mm. These doors have the same slim frame depths lining through with the door frame.
